Delores needs ongoing care—and we need your help to keep fighting for her. Delores was recently surrendered to us when her care became more than her owner’s family could manage. The extent of her poor physical condition had gone unrecognized. In her eight years, she had never had a hoof trim. Years of overgrown hooves damaged her hips and spine, and she was diagnosed with hip dysplasia as a result. She also had a deep, serious, untreated infection between her toes. While she was at the veterinarian’s office, her dewclaw sloughed off. Despite aggressive antibiotic treatment and a team effort to care for her, the infection has persisted. We are continuing to help Delores and working to save her life. Please be aware: the photos are graphic. They show the reality of what has happened to Delores. It is difficult to see, but we want you to understand the care she needs and why we are fighting for her. Your donation helps pay for Delores’s veterinary bill, medications, ongoing care, and supplies. We adjust her living area daily to meet her needs as we provide around-the-clock care. Please give to help us continue caring for Delores. If you would like to sponsor her, please choose Delores. Thank you for standing beside her and the people working to help her.
