Through initiatives like the Monumental Chef Showdown, the Fund elevates working chefs and hospitality professionals, generating the visibility and partnerships that help the local culinary industry thrive. At the same time, its Junior Chef Academy connects middle and high school students to a nine-month afterschool culinary training program &mdash; pairing mentorship from working chefs with real kitchen experience &mdash; giving kids a genuine pathway into food and hospitality careers while directly combatting food insecurity by building skill, agency, and confidence in the next generation.
