The GLC Alumni Network is a group of 450+ community organizers, civil activists and leaders, working tirelessly to advance&nbsp;social and environmental justice in Central and Eastern Europe, and the US.&nbsp; Our network no longer counts on the support of the Professional Fellows Program of the US Department of State, which has powered processes of exchange and solidarity throughout the years. However, we are determined to keep engaging and supporting our community members, and keep promoting community organizing, especially in communities and regions where social justice and human rights are most at risk. To be able to do that&nbsp;we seek resources for the Dave Beckwith Memorial Fund.&nbsp; The Dave Beckwith Memorial Fund will allow us to stay together in 2026 and depending on the resources we manage to raise would:- Keep 500+ organizers connected and informed by operational channels, including website, newsletter, social media groups;- Organize virtual community events on topics of common interest;- Pilot affinity groups and community of practice;- Launch peer-to-peer program for mentoring and community support;&nbsp;- Recruit and train a new cohort of organizers from Central and Eastern Europe;- Support trips between the US and Central and Eastern Europe, expanding impact in the sending and hosting communities. Our alumni continue fighting for social and environmental justice in an increasingly difficult context and our network wants to support them. Please help us do that. Adrienne traveled to Europe with the support of the Dave Beckwith Memorial Fund. *Dave Beckwith, whom we lost in 2022, was a teacher, advisor, mentor and an inspiration for our GLC Alumni Network. He was a dedicated champion of community organizing and transatlantic collaboration and we are privileged and humbled to use his name for our fund.&nbsp;
