Your contribution keeps this forum accessible and grounded in lived experience. 🕊️ Military and veteran caregivers experience suicidal ideation at significantly higher rates than civilian caregivers, highlighting the urgent need for targeted mental health support, suicide prevention resources, and greater recognition of the unique challenges they face.We often focus on suicide risk among our veterans&mdash;but the caregivers standing beside them are struggling too. Research shows that military and veteran caregivers experience suicidal ideation at rates alarmingly close to those of the veterans they care for. Suicide prevention must include the caregiver. In 2026, for our 3rd Annual Suicide Prevention &amp; Awareness Forum, we proudly expanded our invitation to include First Responders and their families, recognizing that suicide prevention, mental health support, and hope must extend to all who serve&mdash;and those who stand beside them.
