🌟 Join us in Creating Change! 🌟When Foster Cats Collective of Queens (FCCQ) was founded, we made a promise: to show up for the cats and communities of Queens. Thanks to our incredible fosters, supporters, and local community, that promise has turned into real, life-saving action. So far, we have directly transformed the lives of dozens of cats:

8 Spays & Neuters: Preventing hundreds of future homeless kittens.

8 Forever Homes: 4 kittens and 4 adult cats are now thriving with loving families.

Emergency Care: Contributed to the surgery and initial recovery of a community cat requiring amputation.

Street Kitten Intake: Funded initial medical exams, deworming, and care for 6 vulnerable kittens rescued from the streets.

Comprehensive Wellness: Got all of our rescue cats up to date on vaccines, dental health, grooming, and general wellness appointments.

A Mysterious Medical Concern : We've taken Luci to three different appointments to try to figure out what causes her breathing troubles, and will be taking her for a cranial CT scan to ensure she has the best chance to thrive in a forever home.

We are so proud of what we’ve accomplished, but the reality of rescue work is the baseline is expensive and emergencies are non-negotiable. Whether it is an urgent vet visit, specialty food, or a new setup for foster families, our goal is to uphold a standard of excellence. The True Cost of a Second ChanceBeyond the basics, routine medical care adds up quickly. Vaccines, bloodwork, urine and stool tests, and routine dental checks are essential to keeping our cats healthy. And when an emergency situation arises, it can quickly deplete the savings we have.

Luna required thousands of dollars in emergency medical care for a vicious outbreak of FHV-1 that required hospitalization within weeks of her surrender.

Luci is currently suffering from chronic breathing difficulties, and will be getting a specialized CT scan to finally give her the diagnosis and treatment she deserves. These x-rays run thousands of dollars, even with a rescue discount.

All of our cats have needed follow up or additional care and treatment, and we're grateful we've been able to give it to them so far.

The Heartbreak We Hope to EaseThe cats of Queens need our help. We have neighbors asking for help with spaying or neutering a colony, people who found a litter of helpless kittens, cats left in lobby doorways, or messages about severely injured cats in need of immediate emergency care.It breaks our hearts to say it - there are many times that we have to say no.We do our best to balance our hearts with what we know we can do and stay viable as a rescue, but turning down any animal in distress, simply because we cannot responsibly guarantee a stable place for them, is agonizing. We want to do more. We can do more—but we cannot do it alone. How You Can Help Us Fall Forward100% of every dollar donated goes directly toward the care, feeding, housing, and medical treatment of our rescue cats. When you give to FCCQ, you aren't just sending money into a void—you are directly paying for Luci’s CT scan, Panther’s dental care, a kitten’s vaccines, and emergency surgeries for cats with no other option. Here is how your donation makes an impact:$25: Pays for a month of soft blankets, toys, and special treats for a foster cat.$50: Covers a complete round of essential vaccines and wellness exams.$100: Funds emergency intake exams, flea treatment, and deworming for street kittens.$250+: Directly builds our medical emergency fund for critical care like Luci’s $3,300 CT scan. We know that if everyone in our community chips in—whether it’s $5 or $500—we can build something that continues to grow, change the lives of cats today and open our doors for the next emergency call. Please donate today, share this campaign with your network, and help us continue doing this urgent, life-saving work. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and the beans of our toes. Together, we can work together to change the lives of Queens’ Cats in our communities.
