Five children in athletic wear play various sports like basketball, soccer, and tennis against a teal background with white stars.

I’m Michaela - I am a volunteer for Movement in Refuge (MIR), and I am raising funds for them to grow their programs - it is a 100% volunteer-led organization that uses sports, yoga, chess and movement to help refugees and people affected by conflict rebuild their physical and mental wellbeing, confidence and sense of community. For many refugee children, life has been disrupted by displacement and uncertainty, with limited access to education, recreation and opportunities to simply be children. MIR brings structured, positive activities directly into refugee communities, giving young people a safe place to move, play, learn, develop skills and connect with others. Your donation will help MIR provide sports equipment, train and support local coaches, continue programs and expand into new communities. Every donation, large or small, helps make these opportunities possible and keeps hope moving. Thank you for supporting me and Movement in Refuge.
