HELP GROW BLACK MUSLIMS NOW 💛🖤As-salaamu ‘alaykum! 🌙 Black Muslims Now (BMN) is a New York City-based, Black Muslim-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the visibility, unification, and empowerment of Black Muslims through advocacy, community service, arts and culture, education, civic engagement, and interfaith collaboration. We amplify Black Muslim voices, celebrate our history and contributions, challenge Islamophobia and anti-Black racism within Muslim communities and broader society, advocate for policies that protect our communities, and create affirming spaces where Black Muslims can connect, learn, lead, serve, and thrive. Whether you’re new to the city, a convert seeking community, a parent looking for opportunities for your children, or someone seeking friendship, resources, education, or ways to make a difference, BMN helps make those connections possible. 🌟 SUPPORT OUR PROGRAMS, SERVICE & ADVOCACYYour donation helps sustain:🎨 Black & Muslim Culture Series🎓 Black Muslim Expert Series🎬 BMN Film Club🌿 BMN Outdoor Club🧒🏾 Youth engagement and leadership development🗳️ Civic education, voter engagement, and legislative advocacy🤝 Interfaith initiatives, coalition-building, and community partnerships🚨 Emergency preparedness and community safety💌 Eid Gift & Letter-Writing Project for Incarcerated Muslim Women🍽️ Food distribution, clothing drives, and community outreach💛 Mutual aid, volunteer service, and affirming community gatheringsTogether, these initiatives strengthen community connections, expand access to resources, increase Black Muslim visibility and representation, advance justice and community safety, and create opportunities to learn, participate, and serve. 📲 HELP RESTORE THE NOWFor five years, THE NOW, our free SMS community guide and digital event planner, connected more than 1,000 Black Muslims to Islamic events, cultural programs, educational opportunities, civic information, community resources, volunteer initiatives, and one another.
