Local farms. Local households. Help bring locally raised meat to our neighbors’ tables through Chenango Food Alliance’s planned March 2027 distribution. Good local food starts with people—the farmers who raise it, the neighbors who need it, and a community willing to help connect them. Through Meat the Need, Chenango Food Alliance purchases locally raised meat from small producers for distribution to households facing food-access barriers. We’re preparing for our next distribution in March 2027, and we invite you to help make it happen. What does it take to fill those freezers? It takes more than purchasing meat. Your donation will help cover acquisition, necessary processing and packaging, storage, and transportation—the practical steps that bring food from local farms into our neighbors’ homes. We will purchase animals for processing or suitable packaged meat, depending on funding and availability. Our approach supports access to nourishing food while paying small local producers fairly. Our fundraising goal: $6500Every contribution moves this effort forward. Give what you can, share this campaign, and help bring more neighbors into the effort. We’ll share progress as donations come in and supply arrangements take shape, followed by the results of the distribution. Let’s fill some freezers—together.
