Two smiling women pose behind a fruit-topped cake against a rustic white brick wall.

Paula Ajanel is a certified baker in Momostenango, Guatemala. She makes cakes at home, sells them online and has regular customers. Her oven does not work reliably, and she sometimes has to turn down orders. This project will equip Paula's bakehouse with a replacement oven, a stand mixer and the tools she needs to prepare, decorate and package her cakes. The purchase list includes cake pans, mixing bowls, a kitchen scale, a rotating cake stand, piping tools and a cooling rack. The $1,800 goal includes $1,500 for equipment and materials and $300 for First Things Foundation's Guatemala field site. Paula brings her training, customers and daily work to the project. FTF Field Worker Tuba Kök is helping with fundraising and will work with Paula on product photography, Instagram and online sales. Paula will own and operate the equipment as part of her existing business. Give to help Paula equip her bakehouse and keep baking for her customers.
