Pennies for Pete will cover medical care and heartworm treatment for Pete &nbsp;🐾. Have you met Pete? Pete arrived here in February, heartworm positive AND chryptorchid (undescended testicle). That&#39;s a lot. We aren&#39;t generally a medically focused rescue beyond the normal core vaccines and alters, due to lack of staffing and caretakers. In Pete&#39;s case, we were fortunate that coincidentally, a fairly local clinic had recently reached out to offer reduced fee services, and we have foster local to that clinic, so the stars aligned for Pete&#39;s treatment. Our little buddy got super sick on every treatment day, but quickly rebounded and has done well. His heartworm treatment is complete and he is now heartworm negative, so has been cleared to be altered. His cryptorchid surgery has been scheduled for the end of the month, and we are feeling really, really good about Pete&#39;s future. For our supporters who prefer to concentrate their giving to a specific purpose, Pete would appreciate the help.
