Help send a young person on VEC's Birmingham Civil Rights Tour this November 14th.This one-day journey retraces the footsteps of the civil rights movement, taking our Young Community Influencers (YCI) and community youth to the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, 16th Street Baptist Church, Kelly Ingram Park, and other landmarks that shaped the fight for voting rights in this country. For many of our students, this will be their first time standing where history was made. Your donation directly covers a student's seat on the bus, meals for the day, and admission to these historic sites, removing the cost barrier so no young person misses this opportunity because they couldn't afford it. $85 sponsors one student's full trip. Every gift, big or small, helps us get closer to filling every seat with a young person ready to learn, grow, and carry this history forward."Understanding the Past.
