Each fall, artists gather in the Northern Neck to capture the rivers, farms, forests, and waterfronts of our region during the Tidelands Plein Air Festival, October 21 - 24. The festival culminates in the Art on the Wall Collectors Party on October 24 from 5-8pm at the Tappahannock-Essex Volunteer Fire Department with a lively evening where guests meet the artists and have the first opportunity to purchase the freshly created paintings. Approximately 150 collectors, art lovers, and community leaders attend this celebration of art and place. Proceeds support the Tappahannock Artists Guild’s programs for local artists, students, and community arts education.
