Xpedition Lifeline is a 501(c)(3) crisis-response nonprofit that deploys in person, with their two Facility Dogs - Scout and Hattie, to help stabilize military members, veterans, and first responders in moments of trauma - providing emotional presence, faith-based encouragement, and direct connection to trusted resources. Dear Friend, Each May, tens of thousands of law enforcement officers, Gold Shield families, national and international Honor Guard teams, and supporters gather in Washington, DC for National Police Week - a sacred time set aside to honor the officers who have given their lives protecting our communities. This week includes the&nbsp;National Peace Officers Memorial Service at the U.S. Capitol, the Candlelight Vigil at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, and survivor gatherings for families of fallen officers. These moments bring together thousands of families who carry the weight of loss while honoring the heroes who served. Xpedition Lifeline believes no family should walk through grief alone. Through our partnership with Mutts With A Mission and trusted peer-support network connections, we are once again deploying to Washington, DC during Police Week to stand beside Gold Shield families, offering encouragement, prayer, and compassionate presence in reassurance that their loved ones are never forgotten. During this deployment, we will:<ul fr-original-style="list-style-type: disc;margin-left:0in;" style="list-style-type: disc; margin-left: 0in; box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Attend memorial ceremonies in dedication and remembrance of law enforcement officers</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Comfort surviving families, partners, and colleagues of fallen officers with the loving support of Facility Dogs Scout and Hattie</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Offer prayer, encouragement, and hope to those carrying the heavy burden of loss</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Stand in solidarity with National and International Honor Guard teams escorting Gold Shield family members</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Provide small tokens of comfort and connection to Gold Shield families and the law enforcement community</li></ul>To make this mission possible, we are raising $4,000 to support the deployment and comfort and connection materials that will be shared with families during the week.
