The Tri-Cities has readers. It&#39;s time we had a literary scene to match. Folklore Society is a nonprofit for the readers, writers, and independent bookstores of Eastern Washington. We fundraise to bring authors out here for readings and signings. We buy books from local stores for every event we run. We back the people already building literary community, and help their work grow.The Author Fund is how we pay for it. A $25 gift from one reader plus twenty-nine others is $750, which is a night out that somebody&#39;s going to tell their friends about. Folklore Society is a Washington nonprofit corporation pursuing federal 501(c)(3) status. Once granted, donations may be tax-deductible retroactive to our incorporation date.
