Hello, and thank you for reading this message, from all of us at Foster Cats Collective of Queens, Inc.

Foster Cats Collective of Queens (FCCQ) started out as a group of dedicated cat lovers who wanted to work together to effect real change for cats. Whether they are pets or community cats, our goal is to serve the neighborhoods we live in to our highest capacity in humanely reducing the unhoused cat population through Trap/Neuter/Return initiatives, finding permanent homes for friendly cats and kittens, and providing community assistance and education on a range of subjects relating to cats, their well-being, and their relationships with people. Our vision for the cats of Queens and beyond, is rooted in unity, driven by love, and inspired by the hope that we will see the world we envision become reality. "We aspire to build a compassionate community dedicated to the safety of our local cat population. Through our committed foster-based network, we strive to find loving homes with caring families for as many cats as possible. We envision a future where all Queens cats, both stray and domestic, are loved, healthy, and thriving. Additionally, we hope to cultivate a strong community of local animal lovers, nurturing a sense of belonging and purpose for all who are interested." Since our incorporation in October 2025, we have been working tirelessly to establish our organization's non-profit status, leadership structure, and our procedures and policies. We've found veterinarians to work with, taken 12 cats into our foster families' homes, and adopted 8 of those cats as of March 2026. We've begun building relationships with large shelters, smaller rescues, and local colony caretakers alike. We've helped build shelters, fund a surgery, and assisted a woman in neutering and vaccinating a cat left behind by a neighbor. We've done all this simply because the need existed, and we could not look away. Through the commitment of our volunteers, and the generosity of a handful of people we have connected to over the last few months, we've been able to provide care, comfort, shelter, and more for these cats.

Now, we ask you to imagine what we could do if we increased our available resources? How many lives could we change for cats and their people alike? With strong initial support, we could even drastically reduce the number of fundraising emails you receive 😽 We are moving into "Kitten Season"—a massive surge in neonatal kittens and pregnant strays that overwhelms local shelters. This year, the crisis is hitting a tipping point. Resources across the city are stretched thin, and for many vulnerable cats FCCQ may be their only chance to find the home and human they deserve.

Why We Are Raising $15,000 This is our first official public fundraising campaign. Now that our internal structure is solid, we need resources to schedule spay/neuter surgeries, take in cats that require specialty care, and generally provide our cats and foster homes with food, supplies, and medical and emotional support. Specifically, your donation will go towards :

Vaccines, dewormer, and flea prevention for incoming fosters.

Emergency vet visits for sick and injured cats.

Spay/Neuter Operations to ensure that the cycle of overpopulation stops with the cats we rescue today.

Food, toys, and foster supplies for cats currently in our care.

Rescuing additional cats from a life on the city streets.

We’ve spent the winter getting organized so that every dollar you give is used efficiently. Whether you give $10 for a bag of litter or $500 to sponsor a litter of five, you are providing the funding we need to move forward as an organization, and grow together as a community. Join the movement and make a difference today!
