In 2025, The Humane Bean Pet Rescue provided Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return services to 15 community cats in Wooster, Ohio. We returned to check on our little colony a little over a year later and found everyone in good and even better condition--except Rocky, who was found emaciated with matted fur. We did not believe she would survive another year on her own outdoors. With your help, she has been retired from outdoor life and is temporarily staying with a foster. On August 31, Rocky had an exam with CoTwins Veterinary Care in Canton. It was determined that her weight loss was due to dental disease. Her blood work was within normal limits aside from elevated pancreatic values from her A/D food. She has since been switched to regular food and is eating well despite her oral pain. We scheduled her a dental consult on October 7th at Fulton Animal Hospital, where the surgery is expected to be around $1000. Since staying with her foster, Rocky has been putting on weight and all her mats have been removed. Our next step is to make her mouth less painful so that she can eat as much as she wants without discomfort and reach a healthy weight. Please help us give Rocky a pain-free, healthy retirement from being an outdoor cat. Any amount helps!
