The village of Kpandebu needs clean water. Today, families collect water from swamps and depend on rainwater for drinking, cooking, washing, and other daily needs. The lack of a reliable clean water source exposes the community to waterborne diseases including typhoid, dysentery, and schistosomiasis. First Things Foundation is working with Francis Nabieu to build a water well for Kpandebu. Francis has already partnered with First Things Foundation to complete four water wells. We know Francis. We know how he works. Those wells began the same way this one has: with a local person who knows his community, knows the need, and is ready to see the project through. This well will give the people of Kpandebu a dependable source of clean water close to home. It will reduce their reliance on swamp water and rainwater, reduce the risk of waterborne disease, and make an ordinary necessity of life safer and more reliable. The project begins in Kpandebu.
