On February 20, 2018, four fabulous women came together to establish Scraplanta as an organization that would rescue art supplies from landfills and support every ScrapATLien on their creative journey. We grew from a program under another non-profit into a standalone organization with three creative reuse centers and dozens of affordable monthly workshops. We&#39;ve made a lot of wonderful friends along the way with various Atlanta organizations such as PaintLove, CreateATL, The Bakery, and Southern Fried Queer Pride. Every day, we strive to fulfill our role as Atlanta&#39;s Sustainable Resource, which involves our wonderful staff and volunteers pouring dozens of hours into sorting, organizing, and crafting.&nbsp; Currently, 70% of our funding comes from our retail store operations. We are amazed to have customers who help us keep the lights on through purchases, but it&#39;s difficult for us to reach our growth goals when we depend on sales to cover the basics. Crecimos de un programa bajo otro sin fines de lucro a una organizaci&oacute;n independiente con tres centros de reutilizaci&oacute;n creativa y docenas de talleres mensuales asequibles. Hemos hecho muchos amigos maravillosos en el camino con varias organizaciones de Atlanta como PaintLove, CreateATL, The Bakery y Southern Fried Queer Pride.
