Help us give the gift of reading to the children in Ector County ISD!  Your donation today will ensure the Bookworms Literacy Program, funded by the Education Foundation, continues to provide books to children in ECISD from grades PK - 12th grade in a variety of ways. - Bookworms Literacy Program provides children in PK-2nd Grade with a new book each month during the school year that they get to take home to keep to grow their own home library. $300 supports one classroom for one school year!- Bookworm Vending Machines provide students in grades PK-12th grade with new books that they earn through an incentive program designed for each specific school. $1,000 fills one vending machine! Permian Basin Gives Day is a one-day event encouraging area residents to create meaningful impact through the nonprofits that serve our community. This donation will allow students in Ector County ISD to benefit from the Bookworms Literacy Program that provides a new book to students in grades PreK through 2nd grade in an effort to improve literacy in our community.  We have seen great results with this program and will continue to do all we can to help ensure our students are reading at or above grade level by the third grade.  The Education Foundation Board of Directors have great expectations for the Ector County Independent School District and sincerely believe that we can provided additional resources to enhance the quality of education our children receive.  The Education Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to create opportunities for education in Ector County ISD. Our vision is that every student in Ector County will be school-ready, college-ready, work-ready…WORLD-READY!
