Your support of Poppy Days directly honors those who served. Each gift helps American Legion Post 159 assist local veterans, active-duty service members, and their families with practical needs and a strong community around them. The American Legion Family has the support of Congress to designate the Friday before Memorial Day as National Poppy Day®, a day that encourages all Americans to wear a red poppy as a symbol to honor the fallen and support the living heroes who have worn our nation’s uniform. Poppy Day may officially be in May, but donations are accepted year-roundEvery contribution keeps our commitment to service and remembrance active year-round. Together, we uphold the values of Americanism, support veteran programs, and sustain patriotic observances here in Chincoteague. 🌺
