Join the Anacortes Sister Cities Association for a Romanian Fundraiser Dinner celebrating food, culture, community, and student exchange.Guests will enjoy a traditional home-made Romanian meal featuring appetizers, and main course, along with a warm evening of friendship and cultural connection. Romanian Fundraiser Dinner

An adventurous Anacortes Sister Cities Association group of students, accompanied by a chaperone, embark on a life-enriching journey across&nbsp;continents&mdash;landing in Comarnic, nestled in the scenic Prahova Valley in the foothills of the Southern Carpathians.This journey is more than a visit&mdash;it is a homecoming of cultures.&nbsp;For days, Anacortes teens will live with Romanian host families, immersing themselves&nbsp;in the rhythms of daily life, the warmth of shared meals, and the laughter that transcends language.&nbsp;In Comarnic, the group will explore the town&rsquo;s historic center and famous Romanian tourist spots,the flow of the Prahova River, and traditional Romanian crafts.&nbsp;Cultural exchanges will flourish with students trading stories of Anacortes with Romanian peers and&nbsp;teaching each other phrases in English and Romanian. &nbsp;The experience will ripple through both communities, turning host families into lifelong friends and inspiring a renewed appreciation for global citizenship.The students will return home changed&mdash;expanded worldviews, new cultural bonds, and&nbsp;a strengthened sense of belonging in a global community.
