Bedford-Stuyvesant has always had what it takes. What it needs is investment — in its people, its knowledge, its leadership, and its future.Building Minds Building Communities (B2MC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rooted in the heart of Bed-Stuy. We work with every generation — children as young as five, teenagers preparing for college and careers, adults navigating the modern workforce, and seniors building digital independence — because real community transformation requires everyone at the table.Your gift to our general fund goes where it's needed most. One month it might fund a new cohort of digital literacy learners. The next it might stock supplies for a youth enrichment Saturday. It might cover the printing costs for a community flyer or the chairs at a wellness workshop. Flexible funding is the infrastructure that holds everything else together. What your gift does:$25 supplies one program session for up to 10 participants$100 funds one month of enrichment materials for a child in ASEP Jr.$250 powers a complete 6-week Digital Empowerment module for an adult or senior$500 sponsors a full semester of ASEP Youth programming$1,000 funds an entire community cohort — 15 to 20 participants, fully resourcedWe are transparent stewards of every dollar. Our EIN is 92-2873759. Donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.Building People. Strengthening Communities. Creating Opportunities.

The children and teenagers of Bedford-Stuyvesant are not problems to be solved. They are leaders waiting to be developed.B2MC's youth programs — ASEP Jr. (ages 5–11) and ASEP Youth (ages 12–18) — provide the academic enrichment, social-emotional development, college readiness, career exploration, and community leadership training that puts young people in Bed-Stuy on a path to thrive. These programs are completely free to participants. They run after school, on weekends, and during holidays — because we build our schedule around children's lives, not the other way around. Every session is intentional. Every mentor relationship is real. Every young person who walks through our doors is treated as someone with a future worth investing in.Your gift to the Youth Programs Fund directly resources these young people with the materials, instruction, mentorship, and opportunities they deserve. What your gift does:$50 provides one month of workbooks and supplies for a child in ASEP Jr.$150 covers a full workshop series for a teenager in ASEP Youth$300 sponsors one young person's semester of college readiness programming$750 funds a full after-school enrichment cohort for one month$2,500 sponsors an entire ASEP Youth leadership cohort for a semesterThe next generation of Bed-Stuy's leaders is in our programs right now. Holiday / Year-End Campaign
Every December, Americans make more charitable gifts than any other month of the year. And every December, the communities that need investment most — communities like Bedford-Stuyvesant — compete against institutions with massive marketing budgets and national reach. We're not competing for attention. We're asking you to invest locally, specifically, and meaningfully in the people and place you know matter.Building Minds Building Communities has spent this year doing the quiet, essential work of community development: teaching digital skills to seniors who needed them, creating safe spaces for teenagers who deserved them, holding wellness workshops for adults who were carrying too much alone, and gathering women who needed to know they were not invisible.Your year-end gift sustains everything we've built and funds everything we're planning. It is tax-deductible. It goes directly to programs. And it lands in a community that will feel it.What your gift does:$100 closes one chapter of this year and opens the next one stronger$250 funds a program workshop in the new year$500 sponsors a community member through a full program cycle$1,000 transforms a cohort — 15 to 20 people, fully resourced$5,000 funds a full program quarter across all three pathwaysThank you for being part of what we're building. Bedford-Stuyvesant is stronger because you showed up.Building People. Strengthening Communities. Creating Opportunities.
