Join us for an outdoor cultural evening of music, art, and seva in support of&nbsp;Chinmaya Sharadalya. Sit beneath the open sky and experience an intimate live sitar concert accompanied by tabla, led by world-renowned sitar artist&nbsp;Indrajit Banerjee, along with Milton Holbrook. The evening will be enriched with select performances, creating a space for reflection, beauty, and devotion. Your presence and support through registration directly sustain Chinmaya Sharadalya&rsquo;s educational and spiritual initiatives through a tax-deductible contribution (Chinmaya Mission San Antonio is a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization). About the Artists Indrajit Banerjee is a world-renowned sitar maestro and a leading exponent of the Maihar Gharana. Born in Kolkata into a distinguished musical lineage, he is celebrated for his technical brilliance, depth of expression, and refined, poetic style that honors Indian classical tradition while engaging contemporary audiences. Trained under eminent masters including&nbsp;Pandit Manilal Nag and Pandit Kartick Kumar (a senior disciple of Pandit Ravi Shankar), Indrajit is an A-grade artist of All India Radio and an empaneled artist of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations. His honors include the Sur-Mani Award and induction into the South Asian Distinguished Artist Hall of Fame.Now based in Austin, Texas, he performs internationally at major venues and festivals and is deeply committed to education and cultural outreach. He is the founder and director of the Antara School of Indian Classical Music, teaching students worldwide. She has a Master&rsquo;s degree in Visual Art from SNDT University, Pune. She is a local artist, based in San Antonio since 2016.She has worked on multiple commissioned projects involving artforms like murals, paintings, sketches, folk art, home decor, welcome boards/plaques, name plates etc.She works on a variety of surfaces like canvas, wood, glass, cloth, ply, MDF board etc and media like clay, mixed media, acrylic, water and oil colors.Some of her notable public art works include a sculpture for Imagica theme park in India, a Ganesha painting for Aum Ashram, San Antonio, contribution in prize winning rangoli at Diwali SA 2023.&nbsp;She has also created rangolis for Sai Temple Mela and HTSA Ram temple consecration celebrations.&nbsp;Tejashree has designed logos for various organizations including San Antonio Maharashtra Mandal, Garjana Dhol Tasha &ndash; San Antonio, SteelCase Women&rsquo;s Forum, Swaranjali School of Hindustani Classical Music among others.
