Just Jazz Foundation

Just Jazz Foundation supports aspiring young jazz artists through performances and educational programs, honoring jazz's legacy and ensuring its future as a vital Black American art form. Join us in keeping jazz alive and thriving.

Join the non-profit Just Jazz Foundation as we present the Mzansi Jazz Collective 🎷 — a powerful ensemble spotlighting South African jazz voices alongside local musicians. The Mzantsi Jazz Collective is a high-voltage powerhouse of modern Afro-jazz, co-led by the visionary pianist and composer Bokani Dyer. Born from Botswana’s soul and sharpened on South Africa’s competitive jazz scene, the trio—Dyer on piano, with lethal rhythm section Timothy Norton (bass) and Malachi Whitson (drums)—doesn’t just play music: they hunt it. Their sound is a storm of swinging post-bop, hypnotic groove, and raw, harmonic electricity. Live, they transform from a trio into a single, breathing organism—unpredictable, thrilling, and absolutely relentless. When they hit the stage, you don’t just hear jazz. You survive it. Your ticket supports our mission to present world class live jazz music and create real performance opportunities for both seasoned artists and aspiring young players. Expect powerful sounds, fresh collaborations, and a room full of people who cherish and care about music, culture and people. 🎶.
