Help Restore Woodford's Historic Landscape
Since its construction in 1756–58, Woodford’s landscape has been an important part of the historic estate. When the property was advertised for sale in 1769, The Pennsylvania Gazette described it as possessing:“...a handsome Garden, a thriving Orchard of good Apple Trees and other Fruit, and a Well of excellent water. The whole place being under good post and rail and pallisade fence.”Today, Woodford is undertaking a multi-year effort to restore this landscape based on historical research and eighteenth-century precedents. Your support will help complete the next phase of this work.
