Welcome to Woodford, an elegant country retreat to affluent families in colonial Philadelphia, and former home to both Patriots and British Loyalists in the American Revolutionary War.&nbsp;Today, the National Historic Landmark is owned by the city of Philadelphia and operated by The Naomi Wood Trust, featuring an outstanding collection&nbsp;of 18th-century colonial era decorative arts.&nbsp;With year-round guided tours offered five days a week, visitors explore the collection while uncovering the stories of the families, enslaved Africans, and indentured servants who lived and worked here.&nbsp; Each tour is roughly one hour in duration.&nbsp;Note: You are welcome to arrive anytime between 10AM&ndash;4PM. Tours begin at the front door.&nbsp;If a tour is already in session, wait patiently and a guide will retrieve you.

Woodford Mansion Guided Tours

Laurel Hill, Ormiston, and Woodford Mansions open their doors for a special celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the United States.&nbsp; The family-friendly event will feature costumed reenactments, colonial crafts, live music, lawn games, and other activities&mdash;all offering a rare glimpse into life in 1776. Colonial costumes encouraged! Free Parking, Free Shuttles:Pick up at the shuttle at any of the three houses; additional parking at Mt. Pleasant Mansion along 3800 Mt Pleasant Drive where the shuttle loop begins. Limited onsite parking available at Ormiston and Woodford Mansion. Those taking public transportation should head to Woodford first and get the shuttle there. This event takes place on historic grounds that are not wheelchair accessible due to natural terrain and preservation rules.
