National Juneteenth

The National Juneteenth organization is dedicated to promoting awareness and celebration of Juneteenth, advocating for education on African American history, and fostering unity and equality for all Americans through community engagement and events.

The National Juneteenth 2nd Line is a call to step up and exhibit the relevance of Juneteenth in America, honor our history, and move together toward a more informed society of everyone&#39;s contributions. This year, we have a budget shortfall due to the amount of confusion surrounding the National Mall and White House events. This has caused us to make changes so I am asking 10-12 of my friends and supporters to contribute $1,000 over the weekend to ensure that we can present a 2nd Line that uplifts Juneteenth, centers African American history, and welcomes every community to learn and celebrate together.

Join us for the 27th Annual National Juneteenth Prayer Breakfast 🕊️🍽️&mdash;a morning of reflection, gratitude, and community as we honor the end of slavery and the U.S. Senate for it&#39;s unanimous passing of the S.475. Together, we&rsquo;ll lift up prayers, share a meal, and hear voices that illuminate Juneteenth history, faith, and resilience. Your presence supports our mission to educate, commemorate, and celebrate Juneteenth across the nation. Our tenative speaker for this event is Hezekiah Watkins, the youngest Freedom Rider. Arrested and placed on death row in Mississippi at the age of 13 in 1961
