New Voices Old History amplifies marginalized narratives through community events and literature, fostering awareness and resistance against oppression, particularly in the context of I.C.E. actions in Whatcom County.

Nuevas Voces Antigua Historia: Una tarde con el autor local Clyde W. Ford

This is a Whatcom County community event and fundraiser for charities working to resist I.C.E. oppression. &nbsp;It will be held in the sanctuary of the Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship. &nbsp;Clyde W. Ford, local author and director of the Martin Luther King Jr. Library Publishers Project of HarperCollins, will read excerpts from his new book A High Price For Freedom: Raising Hidden Voices From The African American Past&nbsp;and will answer questions. Following the reading, copies of the book will be on sale downstairs in the Social Hall where Mr. Ford will be happy to sign them. &nbsp;A portion of the book sales and your donations will be distributed to local charities working to help resist I.C.E. oppression, including Immigrant Resources and Immediate Support (IRIS), Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network (WASIN), and the Unitarian Service Committee&#39;s Solidarity Now program.
