Eat Your Art Out Event Fundraiser&nbsp;Join us for a creative cake celebration with gateaux galore.&nbsp;Perfectly perfected pastry for patrons of the arts 🎂🎨&nbsp;We are asking those of you who are bakers to supply cakes inspired by the San Diego Art Prize recipients owned by the Poteets.&nbsp; The San Diego Art Prize Cake Walk fundraiser&nbsp;is in support of the <a fr-original-style="" href="http://sdartprize.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">2026 San Diego Art Prize</a> exhibition, Soft Power: On Color, Time, and Resistance held for the first time at <a fr-original-style="" href="https://oma-online.org" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">Oceanside Museum of Art</a> opening on September 5, 2026 and showing until February 7, 2027. This year&#39;s 2026 recipients: <a fr-original-style="" href="https://danielleadean.com" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">Danielle Dean</a>, <a fr-original-style="" href="https://www.ingridhernandez.mx" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">Ingrid Hernandez</a>, and <a fr-original-style="" href="https://www.tatianaortizrubio.com" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">Tatiana Ortiz-Rubio</a>.&nbsp; (Please note during the check out process, you don&rsquo;t have to pay anything for the Zeffy service if you don&rsquo;t want to)

San Diego Art Prize Cake Walk

San Diego Art Prize 2026 Silent Auction &nbsp;-&nbsp;Featured Sculptures by Jeffery Laudenslager &amp; Deanne Sabeck Our silent auction proudly features two extraordinary sculptures by acclaimed artists Jeffery Laudenslager and Deanne Sabeck, whose works explore movement, light, and the transformative power of art. Both of this artists are SD Art Prize recipients.&nbsp; Jeffery Laudenslager is renowned for his elegant kinetic sculptures that bring motion to life. Crafted primarily from titanium, his outdoor works harness the energy of the wind, creating movements that range from the exhilaration of a roller coaster&rsquo;s near miss to the meditative flow of a tai chi routine. Through a masterful balance of arcs, angles, precision, and engineering, Laudenslager distills complex geometric forms into graceful, powerful expressions that continuously evolve with their environment. Deanne Sabeck is an internationally recognized glass artist whose innovative &ldquo;Light Sculptures&rdquo; transform light itself into a sculptural medium. Originally trained as a painter, Sabeck spent decades mastering the art of glass before developing her signature approach. Using bent, cast, fractured, and etched reflective glass, she creates immersive installations that refract and disperse vibrant color across surrounding spaces. Her work challenges viewers&rsquo; perceptions of reality while celebrating the beauty and mystery of light. Sabeck&rsquo;s notable commissions include public artworks, installations at San Diego International Airport, and exhibitions in galleries and museums throughout the United States. Their featured works offer collectors a rare opportunity to acquire exceptional pieces from artists whose creations inspire wonder, contemplation, and a deeper connection to the world around us.
