The Snow Angel Foundation is dedicated to preventing on-mountain collisions through education and awareness, ensuring safer skiing and riding experiences for all. We unite the ski community to promote safety and enjoyment on the slopes.

Join the Snow Angel Foundation and Antelope Butte Mountain Recreation Area for March RADness, an all-day community event focused on promoting responsible skiing and snowboarding. Together, we&rsquo;ll spend the day on the mountain practicing what it means to Ski &amp; Ride R.A.D. &mdash; Ready, Alert, and Distance &mdash; while bringing the ski community together to support mountain safety education. Event Details📍 Antelope Butte Mountain Recreation Area &ndash; Wyoming📅 March 28⏰ 9:00 AM &ndash; 3:00 PM What is March RADness?March RADness is a national movement encouraging skiers and snowboarders to ride Ready, Alert, and with Distance while supporting collision-prevention education through the Snow Angel Foundation. Participants across the country are riding RAD at their home mountains while raising funds to help spread the message of responsible skiing and snowboarding. The Antelope Butte event is part of this national campaign and brings the movement to the mountain. What to ExpectParticipants will enjoy a day of community, learning, and fun on the mountain, including: &bull; A RAD safety obstacle course &bull; A mountain-wide scavenger hunt &bull; A community raffle &bull; Opportunities to learn about responsible riding and mountain safety These activities are designed to help skiers and snowboarders practice the principles of Ride RAD in a fun and engaging way. Ski &amp; Ride R.A.D.R &mdash; Ready to stop at any time. Always ski and ride in control so you can stop or avoid people and obstacles.A &mdash; Alert. Stay aware of your surroundings and watch for trees, objects, and other skiers and riders.D &mdash; Distance. Give others plenty of space so everyone has room to react safely. These simple principles help riders make safer decisions on the mountain. Participate in the National CampaignAttendees are also encouraged to participate in the March RADness national fundraising campaign. March RADness - Antelope Butte Community Event

Up for auction at the NSAA National Show, a Chainsaw-Carved Intarsia Ski Tiki  to benefit the amazing work of the <a href="https://snowangelfoundation.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color:initial;user-select:auto;box-sizing:inherit" target="_blank">Snow Angel Foundation</a>. Intarsia" What even is that?!  Intarsia is carving out individual puzzle-type pieces that have been pre-designed, cut (normally with a scroll saw) and puzzled together on a wood backer. Senan used a chainsaw to help expedite :) The original idea involved sheet metal and magnets on the back of each puzzle piece. Well that didn't work. Everything slid when it went vertical. Dang! Not enough metal! NSAA Ski Tiki Auction

"Old Dan Winter" is being auctioned off through the generous efforts of Senan Gorman and his project @tikitaskforce, in collaboration with the Snow Angel Foundation. Dan Negrelli, of Canton CT, and Stockbridge, VT, tragically passed away recently, in fields of powder, leaving behind his loving wife and daughter.  Through the immeasurable grief, beauty has shown through. Senan carved this one of a kind, chainsaw carving in honor of Dan, and has offered it up for auction, with all proceeds donated to Karen and Keira.  Delivery will be included within a 180 mile radius of Canton, CT.  The carving is made of White Pine, stands roughly 5’ tall. It is braced in the back to prevent natural cracking & weather all the elements. On Christmas Eve 2010, Co-founders Chauncy and Kelli Johnson lost their 5 year old daughter to a ski collision. The young man who collided with Kelli and her daughter also passed from the event. The Snow Angel Foundation was formed to prevent accidents like these from happening again. Your gift to Youth Ski Safety helps keep young skiers/riders and their families better prepared on the mountain ⛷️.
