Bize-Boutte is an award-winning, internationally published poet and novelist, and noted speaker and instructor. She is the co-author of the poetry books, &ldquo;No Poetry No Peace&reg;&rdquo; and &ldquo;Traipsing in Poetry Prose and Vignette,&rdquo; written with her daughter Angela. She is the founder of the &ldquo;No Poetry No Peace&reg;&rdquo; Poetry and Literary Reading Series. A highly praised multi-genre writer, she is the author of the historical fiction novels &ldquo;Betrayal on the Bayou,&rdquo; and &ldquo;Back to the Bayou: The Tassin Valley Saga Continues,&rdquo; as well as published works of fiction, flash fiction, memoir, and commentary. Her poetry and stories have been published in numerous anthologies and on-line publications. The first chapter of her newest book, a speculative fiction novella, &ldquo;The Burden Keeper&rsquo;s Reports&rdquo; won the San Francisco Writer&rsquo;s Conference (SFWC) 2021 Writing Contest Anthology Adult Fiction award. She was the SFWC 2025 &ldquo;Writing for Change&rdquo; Track Coordinator and is the Poetry Summit Coordinator for SFWC 2026 and 2027. She earned her MFA in creative nonfiction at the University of New Orleans, where she was associate nonfiction editor for Bayou Magazine. She has published poetry, nonfiction, and a scholarly essay on Zora Neale Hurston. Stacy&rsquo;s writing is powerful, thought provoking, anchored in truth and crafted to inspire, bring hope and promote healing. &nbsp;Stacy currently writes for the Santa Monica Star newspaper, and produces original content for her YouTube channel @DreamCatchers4Lif. &nbsp;She also specializes in creating one-of-a-kind personal poems for special events. A baker of pies and a lover of jazz, her poetry has carried her to many countries where she has performed with and without musicians. Shuck is solo author of 12 books and chapbooks, had some business in editing another 14 volumes, and is building a fort out of anthologies and literary magazines to which she has contributed. In 2024, her poem Invisible was a finalist in the San Francisco Writers&#39; Conference Poetry Contest and she was long-listed for the Frontier Poetry Tanka Challenge. Her book of ekphrastic poetry&mdash; The Clandestine Life of Paintings, in Poems was published in 2022 and a full-length book of poetry Somehow, I Haven&#39;t Drowned was published by Blue Light Press in August 2025. She has poetry in state, national, and international poetry anthologies including the Ekphrastic Review. AI has changed the writing world as we know it. Boon to oligarchs and copyright thieves, this new technology (whatever our feelings about it) is here to stay. In this short intro to writing&nbsp;in AI era, we will confront our ambivalence by learning a little bit about the tools themselves. You&rsquo;ll leave this one hour workshop with a greater understanding of what the technology can and can&rsquo;t do&mdash;how to detect it in the wild and how it might sharpen, never dull, your creative edge. Josh Boardman is from Michigan. He is the author of Colossal (Non Canonical American Literature, 2026), Plantain (West Vine Press, 2018), and the Latin translation project We, Romans (2015). His work was selected as a finalist in the 2024 Fugue Prose Prize, shortlisted in the 2025 Leopold Bloom Prize for Innovative Narration, and his stories have appeared in journals such as Zona Motel, New York Tyrant, and Dandruff Magazine. In 2025, he was selected as research resident at the New York Public Library&#39;s Vartan Gregorian Center for Research in the Humanities for focused work on his novel. He lives in Brooklyn, New York with his family.
