Women's National Book Association

The Women's National Book Association champions women's voices in literature, promoting reading and writing through events, advocacy, and community engagement. They aim to empower women authors and foster diverse storytelling in the literary world.

AI has changed the writing world as we know it. Boon to oligarchs and copyright thieves, this new technology (whatever our feelings about it) is here to stay. In this short intro to writing in AI era, we will confront our ambivalence by learning a little bit about the tools themselves. You’ll leave this one hour workshop with a greater understanding of what the technology can and can’t do—how to detect it in the wild and how it might sharpen, never dull, your creative edge. Josh Boardman is from Michigan. He is the author of Colossal (Non Canonical American Literature, 2026), Plantain (West Vine Press, 2018), and the Latin translation project We, Romans (2015). His work was selected as a finalist in the 2024 Fugue Prose Prize, shortlisted in the 2025 Leopold Bloom Prize for Innovative Narration, and his stories have appeared in journals such as Zona Motel, New York Tyrant, and Dandruff Magazine. In 2025, he was selected as research resident at the New York Public Library's Vartan Gregorian Center for Research in the Humanities for focused work on his novel. He lives in Brooklyn, New York with his family.
