Bize-Boutte&nbsp;is an award-winning, internationally published poet and novelist, and noted speaker and instructor. She is the co-author of the poetry books, &ldquo;No Poetry No Peace&reg;&rdquo; and &ldquo;Traipsing in Poetry Prose and Vignette,&rdquo; written with her daughter Angela. She is the founder of the &ldquo;No Poetry No Peace&reg;&rdquo; Poetry and Literary Reading Series. A highly praised multi-genre writer, she is the author of the historical fiction novels &ldquo;Betrayal on the Bayou,&rdquo; and &ldquo;Back to the Bayou: The Tassin Valley Saga Continues,&rdquo; as well as published works of fiction, flash fiction, memoir, and commentary. Her poetry and stories have been published in numerous anthologies and on-line publications. The first chapter of her newest book, a speculative fiction novella, &ldquo;The Burden Keeper&rsquo;s Reports&rdquo; won the San Francisco Writer&rsquo;s Conference (SFWC) 2021 Writing Contest Anthology Adult Fiction award. She was the SFWC 2025 &ldquo;Writing for Change&rdquo; Track Coordinator and is the Poetry Summit Coordinator for SFWC 2026 and 2027. A former Poet Laureate of San Mateo County, California, she co-founded Paloma Press and co-edited Dear Human at the Edge of Time: Poems on Climate Change in the United States (2023), a companion to the Fifth National Climate Assessment and The Nature of Our Times: Poems on America&rsquo;s Lands, Waters, Wildlife, and Other Natural Wonders (2025), a companion to The Nature Record (formerly First National Nature Assessment). She currently serves as Commissioner on the Status of Women for San Mateo County.&nbsp; Annelies Zijderveld is the author of Steeped: Recipes Infused with Tea. As a writer chronicling food, music, culture, and the arts, her work appears in epicurious, The Kitchn, Eating Well, Simply Recipes, Paste, SF Classical Voice, and other publications. Her work can also be found in Los Angeles Review of Books&nbsp;and Chicago Review of Books&nbsp;with poetry in Image Journal, MER, Acentos Review, forthcoming in Pangyrus,&nbsp;and others. She received an MFA in poetry at New England College and attended Bread Loaf for a summer residency. She is the interviews editor at The Rumpus and a former contributing editor to Poetry International.&nbsp; Artress Bethany White is a poet, essayist, and literary critic. Her third poetry collection, A Black Doe in the Anthropocene: Poems (University Press of Kentucky, 2025), chronicles her family&rsquo;s history of enslavement in America and was a finalist for the 2026 Eric Hoffer Montaigne Medal. &nbsp;She is the recipient of the Trio Award for her poetry collection My Afmerica: Poems (2019) and is co-editor of the anthology Wheatley at 250: Black Women Poets Re-imagine the Verse of Phillis Wheatley Peters (2023). Recent work also appears in the anthologies Dear Yusef: Essays, Letters, and Poems for and About One Mr. Komunyakaa (Wesleyan, 2024) and Why I Wrote This Poem: 62 Poets on Creativity and Craft (McFarland, 2023). She is associate professor of English at East Stroudsburg University.
