The Roots to Resilience Leadership Cohort is a year-round membership experience designed for youth ages 12–18 who are ready to grow in leadership, responsibility, and real-world skills through hands-on learning. Participants engage in outdoor exploration, service projects, leadership development, and group-based experiences that build confidence, teamwork, and independence. This is a commitment-based program—youth are expected to actively participate in monthly sessions, complete a 6-week online learning component, attend team-building activities, develop water competency through swim and sailing instruction, earn CPR and First Aid certification, and contribute to fundraising efforts that support program and travel opportunities. Membership includes a $35 application fee and $25 monthly membership ($15 for each additional child). While participation in monthly programming is open to all members, travel experiences are optional and require additional costs, which may be offset through fundraising and scholarships based on need and availability. Families are also part of the experience and are asked to support the program through volunteerism and engagement throughout the year.
