Do you get lost or overwhelmed as a client pours out their story to you? Do you find it difficult to identify which information is important and/or relevant? Whether you are just interested in psychology, an aspiring clinician (Graduate or Undergraduate) or have had a practice for decades, this workshop is designed for all individuals wishing to assess their own case conceptualization abilities and learn some tools and tactics for getting better, quicker. This workshop will be offered on Saturday, June 22nd from 11am - 2pm. This workshop is not only for psychologists but for all people who wish to learn more about case conceptualizations in clinical practice. This workshop focuses on how a clinician approaches case conceptualizations and can self-assess and quickly improve. Case conceptualizations can be difficult for even the most seasoned therapist, so we will impart some tools for newer clinicians to improve this skill to be able to pull out and conceptualize the most important parts of a case quicker and with better accuracy. This workshop will be facilitated via Zoom by our Clinical Director, Dr. Avis Attaway, who has over 30 years of clinical experience and has supervised and trained hundreds of Trainee therapists. All attendees will receive a Certificate of Attendance from Life Source Training Institute, Inc. This workshop will also provide any practicum students or Associate clinicians with 3 supplementary or professional development hours needed for licensure under the Board of Behavioral Sciences and Board of Psychology. All proceeds will go directly to our non-profit for program services and reduction of mental health service fees for underprivileged communities.
