Race day is back! Join us for the 3rd Annual Downriver GS Derby 🚗 as Girl Scouts test their creativity, problem-solving, and courage on the track. What is a GS Derby? It&#39;s where your scout customizes a pine block car to race against their peers on an indoor race track.&nbsp; Where:&nbsp;Wyandotte, MIWhen: April 17th 2pm (1:30pm-2pm for Check in)Ages:&nbsp;K-12 Tickets $10 Scout Ticket includes:-Event Patch-Admission to the Race-Open invitation to our Build Clinics-1 Spectator Guest&nbsp;-A Drink and Popcorn for the Racer(Note: Does NOT come with car) $10 Tagalong Racer Ticket includes:-Event Patch-Admission to the Outlaw Race-Open invitation to our Build Clinics-1 Spectator Guest&nbsp;-A Drink and Popcorn for the Racer(Note: Does NOT come with car) Add ons:Additional Spectators $5/each.&nbsp;Car Kits: $8 available for local pickup or at Build ClinicsLink to official and recommended kits here: https://tinyurl.com/yfmzyeca&nbsp; This is not a drop-off event and guests are responsible for maintaining their own Girl to Adult Ratio. These are open times when we will assist with cutting, building, and decorating your car before the race so that even beginners can make a great car! Please note: The build clinics involve stairs to access and are not handicap accessible.&nbsp; Build Clinic Days are March 31st 6PM-8PM and April 3rd 11AM-2PM at 1925 Ford Ave, Wyandotte Check-in for Cars will be on April 17th, 1:30PM-2PM. Any Cars that do not pass inspection will still be eligible to race in the Outlaw Category. You are welcome to attend build clinics to verify your car&#39;s weight, clearance, etc..&nbsp; Build Rules Car Dimensions-The overall length of the car shall not exceed 7 inches-The overall width of the car shall not exceed 2-3/4 inches-The car must have 1-3/4 inch clearance between the wheels and 3/8 inch clearance underneath the body so it does not rub on the track.&nbsp; Car Weight&nbsp;- The car in total shall not exceed 5.0 ounces.-The official race scale that is used at car check-in shall be considered final. Car Modifications not allowed-Wheels may not be cut, drilled, beveled or rounded. You may remove seams and imperfections form the wheels.&nbsp;-The axles MAY be altered, polished, and lubricated. No oil lubrication allowed, only dry graphic lubrication.&nbsp;-Wheel bearings, washers, and bushings are prohibited.&nbsp;-The car shall not ride on any kind of spring.-The car must be free-wheeling, with no starting devices.&nbsp;-No loose materials of any kind are allowed in or on the car.&nbsp; Other Race Rules-Once a car passes inspection and is entered into the race, only the race committee members can touch it.&nbsp;-If the car loses a wheel, or is otherwise damaged, the racer shall have 5 minutes to make repairs.&nbsp;-Each car must pass inspection by the official race committee before it will be allowed to compete.&nbsp;-The race committee has the responsibility to disqualify those cars that do not meet these rules.&nbsp; Refund PolicyRefunds will not be available for this event.&nbsp;
