Join Kate Petty, YogaSpace Instructor, on Friday, June 12 at 7:00 pm, for a Restorative Yoga class that offers a quiet, supportive space to slow down, release tension, and reconnect with a sense of ease. Blending restorative postures with mindful breathwork, somatic awareness, and gentle nervous system regulation practices, the class invites deep rest while helping the body unwind from chronic stress and physical tension. Using props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks for full support, poses are held comfortably for longer periods to encourage relaxation, improve mobility, and create space for both physical and mental recovery. With thoughtful guidance and a calm, intentionally held environment, Kate’s approach emphasizes grounding, breath awareness, and sustainable restoration—leaving students feeling more settled, replenished, and connected to themselves. The class will benefit the grassroots organization Danbury Unites for Immigrants (DUFI), a collective of local immigrant community leaders and allies who are committed to working together to build the power of and to protect Danbury’s immigrant community. + No yoga experience needed!+ Doors open at 6:45 p.m. Please arrive early to check in. We invite you to directly support our work by joining our yoga fundraiser. Donations will support advocacy and community education work (printing fliers, know-your-rights cards) and supporting families who have been impacted by ICE abductions (providing connections to legal assistance, individual guidance, and practical support like rides and groceries.)
