LXCL:Class Fee includes instruction, clay, use of classroom tools, and glaze and fire on your finished piece. Pick up for final pieces will be at a later time after firing. Class is 5-8pm on both 8/18 and 8/19!

Adult Monster Jars Two-Night Workshop

Unleash your imagination in this playful handbuilding ceramics class focused on creating Monster Jars. Just in time for Halloween, students will use slab, coil, and pinch techniques to construct whimsical or spooky lidded jars that can be as cute, creepy, or weird as they want. From goofy grins and extra eyes to textured skin and expressive forms, participants will explore sculptural add-ons and surface design to bring their clay creatures to life. The class will also cover basic construction methods for building sturdy, functional vessels with well-fitting lids, along with carving, attaching, and glazing techniques to complete each piece. Perfect for beginners and experienced makers alike, this workshop encourages experimentation, storytelling, and a sense of humor while building foundational ceramics skills. Each student will leave with a one-of-a-kind monster jar that is both functional and full of personality.
