Themes covered will include the relationship between culture and art, types of media, technical refinement, artists and art styles throughout history, and the role art plays in the modern world. Each session will start with a lesson and discussion about the current week&rsquo;s subject matter, followed by instruction on the technique to be used, and the remainder to be time spent creating, while receiving support from the instructor as needed to complete the project. While talent is not important to this class, it is aimed at children who have a skill level or interest beyond the scope offered in other beginner-level kids themed classes.
