The law enforcement front line emergency medical response course is an innovative training program for sworn peace officers which interweaves classroom learning and hands-on learning phases with reality-based training field scenarios designed to enhance officers&#39; lifesaving skills under stress. The course puts law enforcement through field scenarios testing their law enforcement medical skills applications in realistic conditions.&nbsp; Officers will respond to time-sensitive medical emergencies like life-threatening bleeding, drug overdoses, sudden cardiac arrest, motor vehicle accidents, drownings, excited delirium and officer down incidents. The &ldquo;force-on-force&rdquo; methodology of training is taken and applied to law enforcement medical incidents. This training uses evaluators and role players along with real-time feedback manikins to evaluate lifesaving skills in real time. Officers will go through a classroom lecture and skill-building phase with instructors prior to beginning the reality-based training scenarios.&nbsp;

Weapons will need to be secured for the field scenario portion. Blue training guns, training AEDs, emergency hemorrhage control gear, training Narcan, and other medical supplies will be issued and returned in training.&nbsp;Lunch will be provided as this course will have a working lunch. If you have dietary restrictions or wish to pack your own lunch, please feel free to do so. There will be plenty of recovery time and hydration breaks between scenarios.
