Join Miss Chittum from Southern Columbia Area School District for hands-on art projects designed especially for high school students. Each class will explore different artistic techniques and materials while giving students the opportunity to develop their skills and express their individual creativity. Designed for students in grades 9-12th. September 12 &ndash; September Sunflowers in Oil Pastel Explore the vibrant world of oil pastels while creating a colorful September sunflower! Students will learn techniques for blending, layering, shading, and adding texture with oil pastels as they create their own sunflower artwork inspired by the colors of late summer and early fall. October 10 &ndash; Ghost Landscape PaintingGet into the Halloween spirit with a spooky and creative landscape painting! Participants will explore painting techniques while creating a haunting landscape complete with playful ghosts. Experiment with color, texture, and composition to create a one-of-a-kind ghostly scene perfect for the Halloween season. October 31 &ndash; Haunted House IllustrationsCelebrate Halloween with a spooky art project! Participants will create their own haunted house illustrations while exploring architecture and mark making. Experiment with lines, shapes, patterns, and textures to design a one-of-a-kind haunted house filled with creative details and plenty of Halloween spirit!
