Rhapsode Guild Young Artist Program Presents: Creative Voice Workshop: Imagination and Improvisation with Misha Penton &nbsp;This interactive workshop explores vocal improvisation as a creative and embodied art form. Through guided exercises, collaborative sound-making, movement, text generation, and imaginative exploration, participants will discover new pathways for expression while developing listening skills, creative confidence, and spontaneity. Participants will create original solo and ensemble material, culminating in an informal sharing of newly devised work. Open to singers, actors, dancers who sound, interdisciplinary artists, adventurous beginners, and instrumentalists interested in participating fully in the workshop&rsquo;s vocal, movement, and ensemble-based activities. Participants with formal vocal training are welcome, but no previous improvisation experience is necessary. Curiosity and a willingness to explore are the only prerequisites. Co-sponsored by ARDEA, the Composers Club at Lone Star College-CyFair.&nbsp; Accessibility: The workshop welcomes participants with a range of abilities and artistic backgrounds, and exercises may be adapted as needed. Misha Penton is a vocalist-composer and multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersections of voice, movement, technology, and imagination. Through performance, composition, and teaching, she invites participants to engage voice as a creative, expressive, and transformative practice. Her immersive projects and workshops encourage curiosity, creative risk-taking, and deeper listening while exploring the imaginative possibilities of sound. Misha has presented her work and taught at universities, museums, galleries, and arts organizations in the United States and internationally. She holds a PhD from Bath Spa University, UK where her research explored voice, composition, and collaborative creative practice. mishapenton.com&nbsp;
