We will explore the botanically rich are of the Mojave Desert and Sierra Nevada interface. Each participant will make artworks that they can take home. Materials are included in this workshop. Current Artist in Residence, Rhonda Burton &nbsp;is a Los Angeles&ndash;based artist whose work explores the calming, restorative beauty of the garden through photography and mixed media; her close-focus imagery of petals, succulents, and leaves emphasizes color, pattern, and texture, which she enhances by printing on fine art paper, hand-embellishing with colored pencil or pastel, layering rice paper, and mounting on wood or canvas beneath acrylic. After an early career in watercolor and teaching, she returned to art decades later to reimagine botanical details using collage, mono prints, and cyanotype techniques informed by a Wabi-Sabi appreciation for imperfection. Your registration supports the Conservancy&rsquo;s work to preserve Tejon Ranch&rsquo;s wildlife, open spaces, and cultural history.
