What is an Oxymel?

You've probably heard of "fire cider" lately — the immune-boosting, winter-bug-kicking remedy that's suddenly everywhere. It's not new. An oxymel is simply herbs and honey, sharpened with apple cider vinegar, steeped until the jar turns the color of stained glass.

Simple to make, easy to keep, and built around whatever ails your household come winter. Some people swear by a spoonful a day — herbs, honey, and vinegar, nothing more.

Pick Your Blend

Make an all-purpose immune oxymel, or go specific — respiratory, digestive, antibacterial, antiviral. So many herbs, so much to learn. A few of the classic combinations we'll be working from:

Due to costs for the fresh ingredients and the larger volume needed cost is slightly more to cover supplies.

A condensed, classroom-style afternoon — more lecture than play, but YES we make the goodies too. Choose your own path: an immune oxymel, a digestion oxymel, a respiratory oxymel, or a lymph oxymel and go home understanding exactly why you made the choices you did.

If you want to be emailed when this class opens let's know! this will have only 6 spots and have a lot for detailed herbal info about what's inside each jar. We go deeper. Adults or teens who have been helpers are welcome top join. If we get more interest than slots (limited to 6 big people in our tiny clinic) we will open another Saturday afternoon in early October.
