We are envisioning a coming together of foragers, gardeners and land stewards of all levels to share knowledge, learn from each other and boogie!! Funds raised will go toward compensating the artists and contributors, as well as supporting the mission of the Happy Animal Sanctuary. We would like to keep this event accessible to all and have sliding scale options available. You will not be able to park your car next to your site but you will be able to drive through and drop off/ pick up your things! There is no electric hook up available.  We will be setting up a communal kitchen with hot plates, fuel, and cooking supplies! It will be open to all! Our meal plans will include tbd vegan menu depending on what kind of goodies we can procure at our local mutual aid food distro and how many people sign up for the plan! We'll be getting creative, we promise.

It’s time to GATHER! In preparation, we wanted to provide you with some details for the weekend. Thank you so much for participating in this event and fundraiser - we’re so excited to build community and experience great things together! ARRIVING: Happy Animal Sanctuary 670 Hulses Corner Road, Howell, NJ PARKING: On-site parking available but limited. Carpooling encouraged. Front parking lot for those not staying the weekend. Back parking lot for those camping and staying the weekend. You’ll be directed when you arrive. CAMPERS: Friday campers are welcome to arrive and set up camp anytime after 2pm! Saturday campers are welcome to arrive and set up camp anytime after 7:30am! If you need special camping accommodations, please contact tim@happysanctuary.com. There will be a bonfire space, but no separate fire plots at one’s own camp are permitted. Port-o-potties available on property. Tap water available for water bottle refills. FRIDAY POTLUCK: Try to bring food warm! There will be electric hookups available for crockpots and such. Please try to bring your own reusable plates and utensils to minimize waste. There will be disposables available if needed. COMMUNAL KITCHEN: The communal kitchen will have a Coleman burner stove, cutting board, knives, olive oil, butter, vinegar, some basic spices (feel free to bring your own or contribute to the kitchen!) and power hookups. We encourage folks to contribute as this is exactly that - communal! MEAL PLANNERS: If you purchased a meal plan, vegan brunch and dinner will be served Saturday and vegan brunch on Sunday. Get ready for some good eats! SATURDAY FORAY: Wear appropriate walking shoes and clothes as you’ll be walking through the woods in Allaire State Park. Tick repellent recommended. Don’t forget bags to bring back any foraged finds, as well as your own water and pocket knife if you have!
