Understanding how dehumanization develops, spreads, and changes the way people justify harmful behavior. How does another human being become a target?Dehumanization rarely begins with someone consciously deciding that another person no longer deserves compassion. More often, it develops gradually&mdash;through labels, repeated narratives, group reinforcement, social distancing, and the steady reduction of a complex human being into a simplified identity: the liar, the narcissist, the problem, the enemy.In this educational webinar, Voices Unhidden will explore the psychology and behavioral dynamics of dehumanization and what can happen when empathy and ordinary social restraints begin to weaken.We&rsquo;ll examine how dehumanization can develop in interpersonal conflict, abusive dynamics, online communities, and group environments; how language and repetition can influence perception; why groups can reinforce increasingly harmful behavior; and how digital platforms can magnify these processes through audiences, persistence, visibility, and rapid information sharing.We&rsquo;ll also explore an important distinction: understanding a behavioral mechanism is not the same as diagnosing or labeling another person.
