Piedmont East Bay Children's Choir

Chaperone/Group Parent

Fall Retreat gives Training 4 singers a sneak peek at the next step up in their choir journeys: joining Concert Choir (CC). We will sing, play games, & get to know one another. Singers will get the opportunity to hike or splash in the creek, and may choose to swim (after passing a swim test) and go boating in Turtle Pond! They get to experience the camp setting and the structure of a CC rehearsal to help with any questions or worries they may have about what it will be like when they are promoted to CC for the 2027-28 season. Camp is a requirement to join CC, so please encourage your Training 4 singers to ask Camp Director Tate and CC members any and all questions they might have about what it is like to go to camp. Fall Retreat is also an important opportunity for Concert Choir singers to mentor younger singers and welcome them to the Performing Department. Both groups will rehearse a combined piece together under the direction of Andrew Brown. 5 Chaperones/Group Parent Volunteers are needed! Overnight meals and lodging are provided to all our volutneers. Sign up today! Contact Tate Bissinger: tbissinger@piedmontchoirs.org for any questions.
