THE BORICUAS ARE BACK ON THE ICE IN LONG ISLAND! EAST MEADOW, NY &mdash; The Puerto Rico Ice Hockey Association is returning to East Meadow with the 4th annual Fiesta de Hockey New York! The event will be hosted in partnership with the New York Islanders at Northwell Health Ice Center, practice facility of the New York Islanders, on June 12-13.&nbsp; This year will feature four total divisions. Age groups 10U to 14U will feature Puerto Rico teams facing off against local clubs. At the Senior level, the first-ever Puerto Rico 3v3 National Championships will be hosted. These divisions will feature teams formed after a draft and will include National team mainstays including Captain and 3-time gold-medalist Ricky Rodriguez who has played 57 total games with the National team. Fiesta de Hockey is a combination of culture and competition. The weekend will feature over 50 games following IIHF 3v3 Ultimate Hockey rules which are being developed for the 2034 Olympics. On Saturday, June 13, awards start at 12:30 PM followed by live music by Los Plenaros de La 21 at 12:30 PM. Championship games start at 2:15 PM with the 10U and 12U category and will finish with the Senior Division at 4:15 PM.
