Join Dan Sloan from Portland Food Forest Initiative for a hands-on fruit tree pruning workshop at Jean&rsquo;s Farm.We&rsquo;ll cover fruit tree structure and training systems, pruning theory, how to prune different types of trees, when to prune (and how timing affects growth and fruiting), grafting basics, and general fruit tree care, plus plenty of time for questions.If you&rsquo;ve ever felt nervous about pruning, or if you want to become more confident and skilled in caring for your fruit trees, this class is a great opportunity to significantly level up your pruning skills. Participants will get hands-on experience working with apple, pear, and medlar trees, and you&rsquo;re welcome to take home cuttings to graft onto your own trees.
