This isn&#39;t quite a traditional ham group per se; we&#39;ll do lots of cool activities or have talks that help you learn to use your radio or, in more advanced sessions, really let that ham nerd flag fly on some technical deep dives. All experience levels welcome, and you don&#39;t need a license (or even a radio) to join.&nbsp;You&#39;re welcome even if you&#39;re just ham-curious and get your questions answered in a friendly and welcoming environment. This Month: All About Antennas!&nbsp; You&rsquo;ve got your radio. You&rsquo;ve got your license (or will have it some day!).&nbsp; Now comes the utterly essential piece of equipment that can make a surprisingly big difference in what you can actually hear &mdash; and who can hear you. It&rsquo;s time to talk antennas. If you&rsquo;re newly licensed, studying for your license, or simply curious about amateur radio, you&rsquo;re welcome. Experienced hams are welcome, too &mdash; especially if you have antenna knowledge, experiments, successes, or spectacular failures to share. Bring your questions. Bring your radio (or antenna collection) if you&rsquo;d like. And prepare to discover why hams can spend an astonishing amount of time discussing pieces of wire. About Andrew Cornwall:&nbsp;Andrew Cornwall is active in the emergency communications community in Arizona. He has managed and taken part in large scale communications exercises and public service events. He is an ARES Emergency Coordinator, a manager of the Arizona Emergency Net-Maricopa training net, and is accredited as an ICS Incident Communication Center Manager (INCM) and Auxiliary Communications (AUXCOMM) resource.
