For our current show, Comfort,&nbsp;join us for an artist talk with Helga Winter, presented by Bainbridge Arts &amp; Crafts.&nbsp; Helga Winter created a collection of blankets for our show. Here is her description: QUIETLY BECOMING (Receiving Blankets for Grown Ups) Blankets are a vital component of our lives, beginning with the receiving blanket to wholeheartedly welcome a newborn into this world - and possibly ending with a burial blanket, lovingly placed upon us as we leave this world. The &ldquo;Receiving Blankets for Grown Ups&rdquo; are tools. They protect us, provide comfort, warmth and security, they install braveness to graciously and benevolently receive and welcome all the parts we are composed of as human beings. They welcome the parts we already appreciate and the ones we are ashamed of, afraid to face, acknowledge or befriend; as well as the ugly, the scared and even the broken ones. When we feel comfortable, secure and brave, we are more likely to accept, love and feel compassionate about all that embodies us - we might learn and experience deeply what it means to be human. We might learn to change the stories we tell about ourselves and others....
