Add a piece of baseball history to your collection with this baseball signed by Dansby Swanson, shortstop for the Chicago Cubs and one of the game’s most accomplished defensive infielders.

Swanson was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 MLB Draft after playing at Vanderbilt University. He spent much of his early Major League career with the Atlanta Braves and was part of their 2021 World Series championship team.

He is also a two-time MLB All-Star and two-time Gold Glove Award winner at shortstop. He joined the Chicago Cubs before the 2023 season and has remained a prominent presence in their infield.

This donated baseball features Swanson’s autograph & handwritten "MLB Debut 8/17/16" and would make a great display piece for a Braves, Cubs, Vanderbilt, or general baseball fan.

Please note: This item does not include a certificate of authenticity.

The autograph is being offered as donated to Hickman Humane Society and as presented.

All proceeds from this auction item benefit the animals in the care of Hickman Humane Society.

Peter called in a favor! 🐾

Peter, Kirk Herbstreit’s beloved Golden Retriever, had a little talk with his dad and convinced him to help out the animals of Hickman Humane Society!

Kirk Herbstreit personally signed this football specifically for our fundraiser, and now it can be yours.

Herbstreit is one of the most recognizable voices in football. A former quarterback and team captain at The Ohio State University, he has been part of ESPN’s College GameDay since 1996 and has served as ESPN and ABC’s lead college football game analyst since 2006. He also calls NFL games alongside Al Michaels for Amazon Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football.

Over his broadcasting career, Herbstreit has earned five individual Sports Emmy Awards and has called some of college football’s biggest games, including every College Football Playoff National Championship since the CFP era began.

But football fans may recognize Peter nearly as quickly as they recognize Kirk. Peter has become a fan favorite in his own right, traveling with Herbstreit to College GameDay, football games, and other major sporting events, charming fans, players, and broadcasters along the way. He has even earned the honorary title of “Chief Happiness Officer” at the Rose Bowl. 🐶🏈

This is a wonderful opportunity to own a football personally autographed by Kirk Herbstreit for Hickman Humane Society, while helping animals in need right here in Hickman County.
